Working with a Freelance Copywriter, how does it work?

Word Savvy will spend time learning about your business and industry. We will research your product or service and study your competitors. Using the information, you provide, we will put together persuasive content that is engaging and compels your target audience to choose you. With all website content we will employ the best and latest seo strategies to help your website rank higher.
So you're ready to hire Word Savvy as your freelance copywriter, what next? Outlined below is the process used for projects.
1. Establishing the job
You will be sent a small questionnaire. This will consist of questions such as:
- Is this a new website or a rework of an existing site?
- How many pages have you planned for you site?
- What is your product or service?
- What is your proposed time frame?
Please take time to answer these questions carefully as this will provide a good idea of the scope of work required and will enable Word Savvy to provide you with an appropriate quote.
For other copywriting jobs a questionnaire relevant to the job will be sent to you.
2. Proposal & Quote, Terms and Conditions
Word Savvy will email you a Proposal & Quote and a copy of the Terms and Conditions. The Proposal & Quote will cover in detail what is included in the project costs. If you have any questions at this stage about anything, please don’t hesitate to contact Leola at Word Savvy. If you are satisfied just email an approval, or if possible a signed copy of the Proposal and Quote.
3. Invoice & First Payment
You will be emailed an invoice; all work requires 50% up front. Once this deposit has been paid I can start working on your project.
Briefing is where we get down to the nitty gritty, Leola will usually do this over the phone or via email. If you are a local and would prefer to meet in person that's not a problem. We can have coffee and cake!
During the briefing we discuss in detail your target market, branding and marketing objectives. The more information I ascertain at this stage, the easier it is to construct clear concise content.
After the meeting Leola will write up a brief summary and email you a copy for your approval.
Once Word Savvy have the following I can begin to write.
- Approved and signed Proposal & Quote
- 50% up-front payment
- Any additional material that you can give to assist
5. Writing Your Content
Word Savvy will get busy with the process of writing persuasive content for your business. For the most part Leola will leave you alone, you will only be contacted if more information is needed or anything needs clarifying.
6. Draft version for you to review
Word Savvy will email you a first draft in a word document. As part of the proposal Word Savvy will include up to 3 rounds of drafts, any changes after that will incur an hourly rate.
It is important for you to go through each draft carefully. This if for you and your business and it is important that you are confident with the draft before handing back for revisions.
7. Job Complete Final Payment.
Once you are satisfied and the job is signed off I will send you a final invoice. Payment is due within 7 days of invoicing. Once I have received payment I will email you the final draft.
8. Testimonials and Feedback
